Aside from the distractions both during the day and the night, Pattaya has a host of excellent golf to discover.

The recently re-opened Siam Country Club hosted the Honda Asian LPGA tournament back in October with a total purse of US$1,300,000

Many other clubs have invested considerable money in bringing their courses up to international standards as the area is benefiting from being only an hour or so from the new Bangkok airport.

The golf is also very good, boasting courses constructed by many of the world's top designers and prices remain some of the most attractive out of all the golfing destinations in Thailand.

A mere 2 hours drive from Bangkok, Pattaya is well worth adding to your holiday itinerary, especially for those who are on a smaller budget as compared to Phuket Island and, indeed Hua Hin.

Oh, and the nightlife is pretty hectic too! Aside from "Walking Street" at the south end of Pattaya, the many small side-streets offer a dizzy choice of entertainment to suit virtually anyone's choice!
