Mission Hills Phuket Golf Resort and Spa Description:
(picturesque Nicklaus design on the Andaman Sea)

Mission Hills was designed by Jack Nicklaus and measures 6,806 yards off the championship tees. The course itself is a quite unusual design with large beach bunkers some measuring over 150 yards long and some dual greens (St Andrews style). The course stretches to the ocean and some of the sea views looking out towards Phang Na Bay and the islands are quite incredible .

Despite a great driving range, lovely Spa and a 5 star boutique style 72 room hotel, the golf course itself has never been in very good condition but the good news is that the course has just gone through a major change from Paspalum to Bermuda grass and will be fully in play by November 2010 so hopefully Mission Hills will finally get the visitors and recognition this layout deserves.

A big course, I can see why the carts are compulsary. A great course design by The Golden Bear (would you expect anything less?) This course offers plenty of risk / reward for the well executed shot and room for the higher handicap to enjoy as well.

Some great views from this course. Played on a hot sticky day so the buggy we had to use was ideal - i normally prefer walking. A good paced round unlike other courses in Thailand where i have had to 'endure' 5+ hours. Three good holes by the sea.

A nice open course with not too many mature trees, so good for the first time golfer or high handicapper. Three holes take you along the ocean which has some lovely views. Watch out for the greens though they need some work and the whole place is quite pricey.

This course may not be in the best condition on the island - but it just might be the best layout. So many great holes. Just call preferred lies on the 1st tee and enjoy a great layout. The big bonus is it rarely gets busy, so a round takes less than 4 hours. Millionaires golf at its best.

Lovely layout, nice big clubhouse, ideal for the higher hadicapper as it is not so busy and it is quite an 'open'course. Nice facillities and a boutique style hotel. Great fun.

Mission Hills is quite nice because its directly next to the ocean, and you can enjoy the view of the landscape. It was tough sometimes because this golf course has pretty windy conditions. But I like the added challenge.
